JAX Innovation Award Jury

After 04 April our top-class jury will determine the ten best contributions to the JAX Innovation Award, which will be invited to the Award Ceremony in April 2008. The decisive criteria are innovation, creativity, elegance, and practical relevance of the projects. The members of the Jury will be announced here soon.



Dierk König Canoo Engineering AG

Dierk is a senior software developer, consultant, and coach. He works for Canoo Engineering AG, Basel, where he manages the open-source project Canoo WebTest. He is a committer to the Groovy and Grails projects and writes and speaks about Extreme Programming, automated testing, and Rich Internet Applications. He is lead author of the "Groovy in Action" book.



Sebastian MeyenSoftware & Support Verlag

Sebastian Meyen has been the editor-in-chief of the Java Magazin since its foundation in 1998. Besides, he is the editor-in-chief of the Eclipse Magazin which has been launched in 2004. In this way he has been accompanying the Java Community as a journalist almost from its beginning. Prior to his work at Software & Support Verlag he studied philosophy in Frankfurt. He has also been responsible for the program of the JAX, W-JAX and the Enterprise Architecture conference as well as the Eclipse forum right from the beginning.

Stefan Ried Forrester Research

Stefan Ried, Senior Analyst Forrester Research, serves Vendor Strategy professionals. He has deep knowledge of the middleware software market and spent more than 10 years in leading engineering and product management and product marketing roles at international software vendors. Stefan publishes and consults vendors on product and M&A strategies, portfolio development, and the investment in emerging technology to improve business results. He also maintains research interests in the areas of SOA governance, complex event processing, Web 2.0 and AJAX, as well as other emerging areas of application development. Stefan is based in Forrester's Frankfurt office, but advises vendors and users around the world.

Peter Roßbach freiberuflicher Systemarchitekt

Peter Roßbach ist freiberuflicher Systemarchitekt und Coach zahlreicher Java-EE-Anwendungen. Sein besonderes Interesse liegt in der Entwicklung von komplexen Informationssystemen, einschließlich der Gestaltung und Realisierung von testgetriebenen Softwareprozessen. Seit 1997 wirkt Peter Roßbach im Bereich "Java Server und Servlets" und veröffentlichte das gleichnamige Buch und zahlreiche Fachartikel. Mit dem Buch "Tomcat4x" und als Autor der TomC@-Kolumne möchte er Sie für das Apache-Tomcat-Projekt begeistern. Er ist aktiver Committer des Tomcats der Apache Software Foundation (tomcat.apache.org) und des Centaurus-Platform-Projekts (centaurus.sf.net).
